Who Am I? Why Did I Start Chatter Hands?

My name is Greta, and I live in Auckland, New Zealand. With a web, UX/UI, and graphic design background. I've worked across various industries, including print, software, and start-ups.

Becoming a mum has been the most rewarding experience of my life. My daughter has delayed speech, and introducing sign language to help her communicate has brought immense joy to our family.

However, finding resources in New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) has been challenging. That's why I created Chatter Hands, to provide something that other families can use to empower their children. I dream of making Chatter Hands’ resources accessible to children worldwide, helping them express themselves through sign language.

Join the Chatter Hands Beta Testers community

We are launching a group for NZ SLTs, families, and educators trialling our early communication tools. Share your experiences, ask questions, and help us refine Chatter Hands to empower more kids to communicate confidently. Your feedback is invaluable—let’s learn and grow together!

Taking it global

Our dream is to create a product for a worldwide audience by training others to use AI services to create the resources to fill our library. Please get in touch if you would like to be involved and can donate your time and effort.
